Shabbat Evening Services

Each week Temple Israel welcomes Shabbat with a joyous, family-oriented Kabbalat Shabbat Service. Join us in the main sanctuary where services led by Rabbi Romberg emphasize song, prayer from the heart, participation, and learning. An Oneg Shabbat is also held following the service in the Social Hall where congregants share dessert and spend time with friends and family.

Shabbat Morning Services

Every Saturday morning our congregation meets to celebrate Shabbat and the reading of Torah in a spirit of holiness, spirituality and joy. Our blend of tradition, warmth and learning make this a special service for all who attend. Led by the Rabbi and lay leaders, congregants participate in all aspects of the service including Torah and Haftorah reading and lively discussions of the weekly Parasha. Join us in the main sanctuary, or when the weather is good, outside on the patio for inspiration from our rich Jewish tradition.

Oneg & Kiddush Luncheon Sponsorship

All Temple Israel members are encouraged and expected to sponsor or co-sponsor a Friday night oneg or a Kiddush lunch following the Saturday morning service. An oneg or Kiddush luncheon can be in honor of a special occasion (Hebrew naming, birthday, anniversary, to name a few) or in memory of a loved one.

It is important to note that, although Temple Israel is not strictly Kosher, meat and dairy may not be mixed, and no shellfish or pork products may be served.

To sign up to sponsor one, or for more information, please contact the Temple office at (850) 877-3517 Ext6, or email  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
